FAQ
Medical Advice
Can I ask you about certain tinctures or salves to treat my medical condition(s) or those of my family members?
No, you cannot. Per the FDA, we are not allowed to provide specific, personal guidance on your tincture and/or salve use to address your condition(s), as we are not Naturopathic Doctors.
We strongly advise you to seek that important counsel on personal tincture and salve usage directly from a Naturopathic Doctor near you.
Tinctures
What's the best way to use tinctures?
Tinctures are best taken orally (by mouth) between meals. To use, fill the dropper and squeeze into the mouth. Wait 20 minutes before eating or drinking.
What is the shelf life of tinctures?
Glycerin-based tinctures last 2-3 years and alcohol-based tinctures can last 5-7 years if kept at room temperature or in a cool place. Keep out of the sun.
Salves
How often should I use a salve?
Suggested use is 3 times a day on the affected area.
What is the shelf life for salves
Salves last 2-3 years. Do not keep in a hot place like a hot car or in direct sunlight.
